Single boot
Step 1: Insert the CD into the computer's CD drive. Restart your computer.Step 2: Watch the top of the screen for a message that says "F2 = Setup, F12 = Boot Menu." Press "F12" when you see this message. The computer will continue to load the BIOS, so it may be several seconds before the screen changes.
Step 3: Press the "Down" cursor key to highlight your CD drive, then press "Enter" to boot to the CD.
Always Boot to CD First
Step 1: Restart your Dell computer.Step 2: Watch the screen for the blue "DELL" logo. As soon as you see this, press the "F2" button. After a few seconds, the BIOS screen will appear.
Step 3: Press the "Down" cursor key until you are highlighting the "Boot Sequence" or "Boot Configuration" option, then press "Enter."
Step 4: Press the "Down" cursor key until you are highlighting the CD drive. Press the "+" key until the drive moves to the top of the list.
Step 5: Press "F10" to save your changes, then choose "OK" from the next menu. Now, whenever a bootable CD disc is in the drive, your Dell computer will boot using that CD instead of the hard drive.
